Notice the gap in the teeth
Now Lewis Hamilton has really been making waves recently with a spectacular drive to victory in the Chinese Grand Prix last weekend. But apart from shining in the race to this year’s drivers’ title, the 2008 Formula 1 World Champion will also be gracing the silver screen in the animated movie, Cars 2. The much anticipated sequel to the 2006 hit by Pixar, Cars 2 is set to be released worldwide by the end of July this year and will follow the adventures of race car Lightning McQueen as he takes on the World Grand Prix. And in the footsteps of the original film, this too will feature many-a-celebrities in the form of cars.
The resemblance is uncanny!
The in-movie character of Lewis Hamilton is modeled after the latest McLaren MP4-12C and one can even see slight resemblances to him in real life, especially considering the little gap in the front teeth the character bears, just like the Formula 1 superstar. Hamilton will be playing a sleek and seriously fast #2 Grand Touring Sports champion, who having grown up learning Karate and winning Karting championships, steps onto the international stage as Britain's representative in the World Grand Prix. Though we hope Hammy’s character gets a little more screen time as compared to the few seconds in the end credits of the original movie that Michael Schumacher enjoyed.
