Age never really got in the way of getting yourself a Hotwheels model, right? How about a limited edition $5000 (Rs 3.70 lakh) Hotwheels? A bit too steep, right? Well, not really if you can ride it around. Super73-- A California-based e-bike brand has announced the Hotwheels X Super73-RX e-bike limited to just 24 examples.
Super73 is known to develop badass street-legal e-bikes with a motorcycle-like frame and a battery pack shaped like a fuel tank. The limited edition model is based on the RX series, which looks like a scrambler of the e-bike world.
The highlight of the Hotwheels X Super73-RX is the hub motor capable of belting out 1.2kW continuous power and a peak power of 2kW to propel the e-bike to 45kmph in the throttle-only mode. Factor in the 35kg kerb weight and you have a mad, little machine between your legs. Paired with this motor is a 960W battery pack that has a range of upto 120km.
Super73 has equipped the e-bike with an impressive kit of hardware as well. A 230mm disc up front and a 180mm disc at the rear, both paired with 4-piston calipers drop the anchor on the limited edition Super73-RX. The suspension hardware includes USD fork up front with 120mm travel and a monoshock, both offering full adjustability.
The e-bike doesn’t fall short on features too. Super73 has equipped the limited edition RX with a LCD display with which you can toggle through four riding modes: Eco, Tour, Sport And Super.
The Hotwheels X Super73-RX flaunts some interesting touches like a custom paint job, a custom seat by specialists Saddlemen, and new set of pedals and grips as well as a yellow-tinted headlight. Unlike the standard model, the frame now gets a aluminum casing to give it a butch look.
Each bike is made to order and by the time you read this, all the models are already spoken for. But if you are sold on the idea of an e-bike to enjoy trails with, the EMotorad EMX is definitely worth checking out.
