Mahindra has quietly introduced its new Intelli-Hybrid system on the Scorpio. This updated Scorpio with the mild hybrid system has been launched at Rs 12.84 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai) for the fully loaded S10 two-wheel drive model.
The Chakan-based carmaker claims that the introduction of the Intelli-Hybrid system has reduced the fuel consumption of the Scorpio by up to 7 per cent. To improve the efficiency, this system essentially assists the car while accelerating by providing electric power. Further, the start-stop system automatically switches off the engine when the car is stationary, thereby reducing consumption of fuel in stop-and-go traffic.
Speaking about the introduction of Scorpio with Intelli-Hybrid, Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “As an organisation that places keen emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendly practices, across every process and product, we are proud to introduce mild hybrid technology on the Scorpio. By reducing fuel consumption, Intelli-Hybrid helps Scorpio owners contribute towards a cleaner and greener tomorrow.”
The Mahindra Scorpio with this new Intelli-Hybrid technology has only been launched with the 2.2-litre mHAWK engine. All the S4, S6+, S8 and the S10 (2WD as well as 4WD) get this new tech.
