As part of Mahindra Electric and Zoomcar’s partnership across the country, Pune is the latest city to receive a fleet of 50 e2oPlus plug-in electric cars. The new fleet will be available under two types of rental schemes: As self-driven rentals, where you can rent one to drive around for a few days depending upon your requirements and as a personal long-term rental under Zoomcar’s ZAP program where the car is yours for 6, 12 or 24 months at a time, for just Rs 9,999 per month.
Pune is the latest city in India to receive a fleet of rental electric e2oPlus cars through Zoomcar after Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Mysuru amongst others. This is all part of the push for electrification of transportation as per the NITI Aayog report on the Government’s 2030 vision and also Maharashtra’s new EV policy.
Mahesh Babu, CEO, Mahindra Electric said, “Mahindra Electric, as the pioneers of electric mobility in the country and Zoomcar, as the leading shared mobility platform, have joined hands to bring electric mobility technology to more and more people. Today, we are proud to extend our association and introduce our EVs on Zoomcar’s shared mobility platform in Pune.”
Greg Moran, Co-Founder and CEO, Zoomcar said, “We’re thrilled to once again partner with Mahindra Electric to bring innovative, green mobility solutions to the people of Pune.”
Dr. Rajendra Jagtap, CEO, Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd. (PSCDCL) presided over the celebratory flag off today. The tie-up makes perfect sense for Pune as it falls in line with the Government’s plans to make this educational and IT hub a true smart city.
