With Auto Expo 2020 just a month away, Mahindra has revealed more details about its lineup for India’s largest auto show as well as its future offerings for the domestic car market. Mahindra has announced that the eKUV100 will be launched by the summer of 2020 and the eXUV300 by 2021. What’s more, these EVs, as well as the Atom quadricycle EV concept, will be showcased at Auto Expo 2020.

The eKUV100 was already revealed at Auto Expo 2018, but we never got a launch timeline. Until now. While details are still scarce, Mahindra claims that the all-electric KUV100 will be capable of covering 140km on a single charge. Fast-charging capabilities will let you charge the up to 80 per cent in less than an hour. It is expected to be priced below Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) at launch, making it one of the more affordable EVs in India.

The other EV from Mahindra is the all-electric iteration of the XUV300. It was already spied testing  back in March 2019, sporting a camo livery. While the basic silhouette is likely to remain the same as its internal combustion engine counterpart, expect some styling tweaks like Tata Motors did with the Nexon EV. It will be sold in two variants, with one likely to be an affordable version aimed at commuters and the other with a longer range for inter-city travel. Likely to be fed by a 40kWh battery pack, its electric motor will be capable of delivering 132PS of power and a travel range of 300km.
