A chopped-up Xylo is in the works at Mahindra & Mahindra, with an interesting concept riding behind it. With an overall length of less than four metres and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, the mini-Xylo will qualify as a small diesel car and avail substantial excise benefits. At the same time, it will offer hatchback users more space and comfort. Do not expect this to be a commercial people’s mover though - Mahindra is intent on promoting this as a private family vehicle.
