Update: Mahindra has launched the Mojo 300 ABS at Rs 1.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Know more details about Mahindra's flagship tourer here.
The 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 featuring dual-channel ABS has been spotted at a dealership in Bengaluru. Our dealer sources suggest that the bike will be launched in the first week of August 2019 with an expected price tag of around Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, the tourer from Mahindra will replace the now-discontinued XT and UT variants.
The bike features the same design language as before, but does away with its dual exhaust setup for a single exhaust canister in order to cut costs. Similarly, the Mojo 300 will get a conventional telescopic fork from the UT instead of the premium upside-down unit. Braking will be handled by ByBre radial calipers on the 320mm front and 240mm rear petal discs. Dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard. In comparison, the earlier models used calipers from J.Juan.
Engine specs, on the other hand, are expected to be identical to the Mahindra Mojo XT 300. However, it will feature fuel injection which implies that it will be BS6-ready. In terms of power output though, its 300cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor should be able to deliver 27PS and 30Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Besides the black colour option pictured here, dealer sources suggest that the bike will also be available in a shade of blue in the near future. Once launched, it will go up against the 2019 Dominar 400 and the standard Jawa.
