Sources say that the gearbox of the new car will be an all new unit. Under the hood, the New Age Mahindra XUV 500 currently comes with an M-hawk engine that displaces 2.2-litre. It was tweaked for better fuel efficiency than its predecessor while it generated 142PS of power at 3,750rpm and 330Nm torque from 1,600-2,800rpm.
The W10 variant of the New Age Mahindra XUV500 comes loaded with features including an electric sunroof, keyless entry and push button start. A new 7-inch touch screen with 3D navigation and Mahindra's Blue Sense app sits pretty on the dashboard while other features include a rear camera with dynamic assist and 6-way electrically adjustable driver's seat.
The XUV500 is currently available in the form of both front-wheel drive and and four-wheel variants and as many as seven different colours to choose from. The FWD begins at Rs 11.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and goes up to Rs 15.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the two AWD variants are priced at Rs 15.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 16.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
