In February 2012, Mahindra upped the ante in the Indian MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) segment with its face-lifted Xylo. The new Xylo not only packed in a lot of equipment, safety features and attractive trim levels but the top-of-the-line E9 variant also received an increase in engine power output to 121PS giving it a significant advantage in power over the best-selling Toyota Innova.

Now, Mahindra has given the Xylo another boost in the form of a complete 3-year or 1,00,000km warranty instead of the earlier 2-year / 50,000km coverage. This means that the Xylo now has the same warranty period as the Innova.
This makes the Xylo an even more attractive proposition for buyers due to the huge price difference between it and the Innova. The top variant of the Xylo in E9 trim is worth Rs 10.49 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi, while the top-of-the-line Innova VX 8 seater is worth Rs 13.72 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi.
