The coronavirus pandemic is causing a trend in the auto industry where customers are demanding safety related features for their vehicles. Some requests range from air purifiers to sanitisers in their vehicles. Maruti Suzuki has introduced a range of health and hygiene products to its genuine accessories lineup.
These accessories are offered in the price range of Rs 10 to Rs 650 and can be purchased either at an authorised dealership or via their online platform. The health and hygiene accessories have been categorised under PPE and car care.
Under the PPE range, you get accessories like a 3-ply face mask, protective goggles, shoe cover, hand gloves and a face shield visor. In terms of car care, you get an interior cleaner and a car cabin protective partition. This car cabin protective partition divides the front and rear space of the car and is made of premium polyvinyl chloride material. It is durable, transparent, lightweight and prevents droplets and dust without blocking the field of view.
Maruti Suzuki will be adding more health and hygiene items to its genuine accessories lineup. Expect more carmakers to start introducing health and safety related features in their cars either pre-fitted or as an additional accessory.
