Maruti Suzuki Ignis Limited Edition: What's That?

It was the Ignis’ turn a couple of weeks ago, and now it’s the big boy Baleno’s turn to get a ‘Limited Edition’. This comes in (unsurprisingly) right around the festive season. Let’s take a quick look to see what the Limited Edition has to offer.
On the outside, Maruti Suzuki has installed a body kit on the hatchback. This includes skirts under the front and rear bumpers, as well as side skirts. What’s rather odd, is the fact that it’s finished in black. To spruce up the side profile a bit more, there’s body moulding with a splash of chrome.
Step inside the cabin, and you’d quickly pick up that Maruti Suzuki has replaced the stock fabric upholstery with art leather. Also bundled in are illuminated scuff plates, a tissue box, and a couple of ‘premium’ pillows. To round things off, you also get a key chain and a key finder.
Expectedly, there are no mechanical changes. The Limited Edition will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Like most Limited Editions, these additions too will be made at the dealership level. The extra features will cost an additional Rs 27,000, and can be added on to any variant.
Would you consider the Limited Edition? Or is the Baleno good enough as is? Let us know in the comments section below.
