The newly-introduced Ciaz S is offered in the petrol-manual guise only. It comes with aggressive bumpers, blacked out alloy wheels, ORVMs and a trunk spoiler. Inside, the Ciaz S comes with an all-black dashboard with contrasting silver trims on the dashboard and door panels. The Ciaz S can be had in three exterior shades: Sangria Red, Pearl Snow White and Premium Silver.

The Ciaz utilises the tried and tested 1.5-litre Smart hybrid petrol engine, albeit BS6 upgrades. It develops an identical 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options for the engine will include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox.

The in-house developed 1.5-litre diesel engine will be axed once BS6 emission norms kicks in. It might make a comeback if there’s healthy demand for diesel cars in the BS6 era.
