Maruti Suzuki is on a roll to ensure that its vehicles meet the latest safety and emission norms. After updating the Swift and Wagon R last week, the Dzire is the latest car from the manufacturer’s stable to get BS6 updates and new safety features.
Only the petrol variants of the sub-4 metre sedan have received BS6 updates as the company will axe all diesel models post 1 April 2020. The BS6-compliant 1.2-litre K12B series engine produces 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque, which remain identical to the BS4 variants. It comes with a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT transmission options.
While the Dzire came with dual airbags and ABS as standard fit, it now gets additional safety features like driver and co-driver seatbelt warning, a high speed alert and rear parking sensors as standard to make it compliant with AIS 145 safety norms.
The updates have pushed the prices of the Dzire by around Rs 15,000 for the petrol variants and Rs 6,000 for the diesel variants. Have a look at the table below for the detailed pricing of the Dzire.
