The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire is all set to be launched on November 11. Ahead of its official debut, numerous spy shots circulating online have offered us a sneak peek at the updated sub-4m sedan, showcasing both its exterior and interior. The 2024 Dzire appears to sport serious design revision on the outside, while the cabin retains some familiar elements reminiscent of the Swift, and it also draws parallels with the outgoing model.
Here in this article, we have provided you a closer look inside the Dzire’s old and new cabin and have made a detailed comparison between the same:
While the layout is the same, the key difference between the cabin’s of the Dzire and Swift is the lighter beige-and-black theme in the former. The new Dzire keeps this scheme with a few minute tweaks. Based on the spy shots, the upholstery still follows the same theme as before, but the dashboard now has more black accents.
One major update is the new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, now positioned above the front AC vents, unlike the previous model where the vents were placed above the screen. The Dzire also retains the wood-like trim beneath the AC vents, though now it’s in a cooler ash-grey shade rather than the previous warmer brown.
The new Dzire is also expected to feature a wireless phone charger in front of the gear lever, replacing the earlier cup holders. The push-button engine start remains in the same position as before.
Look above and now you’ll notice a single pane sunroof. The dashboard design has been refined as well. While the previous model had a more arched look to match the car's curvy shape, the new dashboard appears more streamlined and flat. However, you won’t see significant changes in the rear seats, which continue with adjustable headrests for both outwards rear passengers, an armrest, and rear AC vents.
On the safety front, the new Dzire is expected to come with 6 airbags as standard, along with other essential safety features like ABS with EBD, ESC and reverse parking sensors. We also expect it to offer a segment-first 360-degree camera.
The new Dzire now has a distinct look, moving away from the Swift-like design. It has shed its curves in favor of a sharper, more refined body style. The fascia looks boxy with horizontal sharper LED headlights and a bigger grille.
The rear gets a new Y-shaped design for the LED tail lights which will replace the larger and slightly outdated-designed tail lights of the outgoing Dzire.
As for engine option, the new Dzire is expected to borrow the new Swift’s 82 PS / 112 Nm 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
The upcoming Dzire is expected to be priced from around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze sub-compact sedans.
