Maruti Suzuki has inaugurated its first-ever premium Nexa service centre in Gurgaon. After starting a chain of car showrooms under the Nexa nameplate, the new line of service centres aims to carry forward the premium buying experience and turn it into a premium ownership experience for S-Cross, Baleno, Ignis and Ciaz customers. The Nexa service will take advantage of technology such as paperless transactions at the outlets, and the elegant design will make every part of the outlet pleasing to look at.
Nexa car owners can book an appointment online or use the mobile app. As the car approaches the service centre's entrance, an RFID reader will digitally note the car's details and open the boom barrier. The next step would be to open the digital job card using tablets. The job card will lay out the details of the service and work that is required to be carried out for the car before providing an estimate. At the lounge, every customer will be welcomed by a hostess. The owners will be able to witness the progress of the service through massive glass walls or watch the live video of the work undertaken on a screen. Once the car is ready, the service manager will escort the customer to the delivery area.
With the first Nexa service outlet now operational in Gurgaon, more centres are expected to follow in a phased manner. Maruti is aiming at launching 300 service outlets by 2020.
Managing director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki, Kenichi Ayukawa said, “About three years ago, we resolved to transform ourselves to redefine the customer experience and attract new categories of customers. NEXA was a first, important step in Maruti Suzuki’s transformation journey. It has been appreciated by customers. Listening to customers, we have now created NEXA Service to take forward that promise. Plush workshops with premium lounges and use of digital technology to enhance customer service and transparency will be the defining elements of NEXA Service. I am sure customers will like NEXA Service as well.”
