Due to rising input costs, Maruti has hiked the prices of the Swift and its CNG models by up to Rs 15,000. This follows the carmaker’s announcement that it would be increasing prices by September. Prices of other models will be hiked in the future. So if you’ve been planning to get home a new Maruti Suzuki car, this may be the right time.
This is the third time Maruti Suzuki is hiking the prices of all its models after increments in January and April 2021. The prices of the facelifted Swift have also been hiked twice since its launch in February 2021. Prices are yet to be updated, so at the moment, the Swift is priced between Rs 5.73 lakh and Rs 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki isn’t the only manufacturer that will be increasing prices this quarter. Tata Motors and Honda Cars India have also announced increments across their entire model range.
Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the next-gen Celerio by the end of this year. The homegrown manufacturer will be launching the next-gen Alto and the much-awaited 5-door Jimny by 2022.
