FCA India's attention might be concentrated on building the Jeep brand for now, but there's no denying that the models responsible for its revival have been the Punto and its sedan sibling, the Linea. Now, both products are nearly a decade old and have seen very little in terms of upgrades. The next-gen Punto (read: Fiat Argo) is already up and running in South American markets, and it was only a matter of time before Fiat slapped on a big boot on its rump.
Pictured above is the Argo-based sedan, which is reportedly codenamed the 'X6S'. Of course, like most hatch to sedan conversions, the platform is shared. The top angle photo gives away the stretched wheelbase, though. The rear door seems a lot larger than the one on the hatchback, which means more space for the sahaab ji in the back.

In terms of design, it looks like a conventional three-box -- it's got none of those coupe traits manufacturers try to cram in these days. It is safe to assume that the X6S will carry forward a lot of styling cues and features over from the hatchback. Bits such as the new "3D family grille", projector headlamps with daytime running lamps, 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, and the LCD screen in the instrument cluster should make it a well-kitted package.
And, if it wants to take a swing at the Indian C-segment, it better pack in all of that. The new Hyundai Verna that's a couple of weeks away has brought a gun to a knife fight, as it looks to take on the Maruti Ciaz and the ever-popular Honda City.
