A combination of dynamism, technology and innovative design will surely turn some heads at the Mercedes stall as they will reveal a new A-class concept in the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show

First introduced in 1997, the Mercedes A-Class falls under the mini-MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) segment. The car that has seen two-generations comes in a range of engines of 1.4litre Petrol to 2.1litre Petrol and a 1.7litre Diesel.

The concept has a four cylinder twin-clutch 2litre power-plant with a roaring 210hp. The front-wheel drive vehicle will be featured with three-doors, five-doors and roadster variants. The long bonnet design is inspired from wind and waves and looks like a perfect mould of curves and lines giving the concept a sporty appearance. The whirlpool like alloys give the tyres an athletic feel. A starry grille around the three-point logo and the daytime running LED headlamps give the front an elegant look.

The funkiest feature of the car is the Collision Prevention Assist which automatically prepares the Brake Assist and gives a visual and acoustic warning to an inattentive driver. With the red speedometer and the tachometer looking like aircraft turbines and the air conditioning vents like the engine of an aircraft the instrument panel of the inside is totally blinged out and has looks inspired from an aircraft. A smart phone completely integrated into the operating system of the car helps operate all applications via an online command.

As the first concept in the compact class and looks inspired from wind, waves and aircrafts this one is certainly something that people are looking forward to see especially as it takes birth in the Mercedes family.
