Mercedes-Benz has launched the GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe ‘OrangeArt’ edition at a price of Rs 1.02 crore and the SLC 43 ‘RedArt’ Edition at Rs 87.48 lakh (both ex-showroom India). The GLE 43 is Rs 2.8 lakh more expensive than the standard car whereas the SLC 43 is priced at a premium of Rs 5.2 lakh over the regular model. Both cars get a new paint with orange and red contrast accents inside and out to make them look sporty.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe ‘OrangeArt’ is available in three exterior colours - Polar white, Obsidian black and Selenite grey. All three come with the AMG Line Exterior which adds contrast orange colour to the exterior and interior. The SUV also gets 21-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels with a high-gloss black finish and orange rim lines as part of the package. It also includes full LED headlamps with black LED ring and Intelligent Light System. Inside, the AMG GLE 43 gets sport seats covered in black Nappa leather upholstery with orange piping, AMG lettering and orange piping on floor mats. The steering wheel gets black nappa leather while the pedals are finished in brushed stainless steel.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe ‘OrangeArt’ is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 direct injection bi-turbo petrol motor which produces 390PS @ 6100rpm and 520Nm @ 2000-4200rpm. The SUV takes 5.7 seconds to reach 100kmph from a standstill and has a limited top speed of 250 kmph.
The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 ‘RedArt’, on the other hand, gets red accents on the exteriors and interiors. It is available in an exclusive paint finish called designo selenite grey magno along with Polar white. The contrasting red paint here is seen on the aprons, bumpers, fins, brake callipers with AMG lettering and the rim of the 18-inch AMG 10-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black. Inside, you have black leather seats with silver Nappa leather inserts and red contrast stitching.
The AMG SLC 43 ‘RedArt’ is powered by the same 3.0-litre V6 as the above, but here, it makes 367PS @ 5500-6000 rpm and 520Nm @ 2000-4200 rpm. It takes 4.7 seconds to clock the 0-100kmph sprint and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
