Mercedes-Benz GLE450 AMG Coupe to be launched in India on January 12

Mercedes-Benz has just finished it’s ’15 in 2015’ offensive and have geared themselves up for a salvo of launches for the year 2016. The new Mercedes-Benz GLE450 AMG Coupe will be the first new product for the German luxury manufacturer and will bring along many ‘firsts’ for Mercedes-Benz in India. The new SUV will essentially be the coupe version of the GLE SUV and will go straight up against the BMW X6.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE450 AMG coupe is also the first vehicle to get the new AMG nomenclature as a part of its name in the way mentioned as it is the first vehicle from the AMG Sport series. The AMG Sport series will essentially sit between the standard petrol and diesel cars and the full fledged AMG V8 powered cars and will offer a god bend of everyday use and sporty performance all rolled up into a lustworthy package.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLE450 AMG Coupe gets new styling as well with a sloped out roofline and very attractive overall design. You also get large 21 or 22 inch wheels that help accentuate the stance of the car. The GLE450 AMG coupe also comes with sporty bumpers and a design element that reminds us of the likes of the CLA45 AMGs. The new GLE Coupe gets a V6 bi-turbo engine that makes a staggering 362PS of peak power.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLE coupe will also eventually be available in a diesel version to attract a more mass market buyer who wants an SUV but still wants the styling and the looks of a sports coupe of a sports sedan. The new GLE Coupe is a long time coming for Mercedes-Benz since it will take on the rather successful BMW X6 and Audi’s upcoming SUV coupe. Mercedes will launch the car in Mumbai on January 12. 2016.
