2015 Mercedes Benz GLC to be launched in India soon

Mercedes-Benz India will launch  a spate of SUVs in the next one year. These will include the GLE, GLE Coupe, GLC and GLS. These SUVs, some new, some facelifted, will feature the new naming nomenclature that all new Mercedes-Benz SUVs will adhere to henceforth. The GLS is essentially a facelifted and rebadged GL which will soon be showcased at an upcoming motor show.

First to arrive in India by the end of the year will be the Mercedes-Benz GLA, essentially a facelifted and rebadged version of the current generation Mercedes-Benz ML. The GLE will be followed by the GLE coupe and the GLS. The last and possibly most important one of the lot will be the new GLC which was recently unveiled to a world wide audience and has already seen great interest in countries like India.

All three SUVs will be available in India with a diesel engine, possibly the 250 or 350 specification motor that we have been quite used to in India for the last fea years. All SUVs will have updated styling and, of course, updated interiors that will go well with the new Mercedes-Benz trend. The GLC will be priced at about Rs 40 lakhs and will be based on the C-Class both in terms of interior design and engine and drivetrain specifications. The GLE will be pried around the Rs 55 lakh mark while the more stylish GLE-Coupe will be priced at about Rs 65-75 lakhs. The top of the line GLS will be priced around the Rs 90 lakh pricepoint and will feature new updates like LED headlamps.

India bound 2015 Mercedes Benz GLC will come with top class interior and cabin finish

The four SUVs mentioned here will join the currently available Mercedes-Benz GLA entry level luxury SUV and of course, the legendary G-Class which is only available in India in AMG form. Expect Mercedes-Benz to do really well with these new SUVs and in particularly with the GLC in India.
