Mercedes-Benz looking to economize India operations

Mercedes-Benz India has opened its first ever 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility in Madhya Pradesh. Spread over 20,000 sq. ft, Benchmark Cars, Indore, is the largest Mercedes-Benz dealership in the state built at an investment of Rs 5 crore.
Adding to the premium feel is the Mercedes Cafe that will not only have the complete line-up of current models in the country, but an accessories lounge for an audio-visual experience, a drive-in valet service and a boutique collection.
Debashis Mitra, Director, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “With the inauguration of the new dealership in Indore, we are on track with our ‘Go to the customer’ strategy and are confident of giving our customers a premium vehicle ownership experience. The inauguration of the new showroom further deepens our commitment to the market and also to our discerning customers of Madhya Pradesh.”
The new showroom has 11 bays with a capacity to service 10 cars a day. It offers support for regular repairs and servicing, accident jobs, spares with a seperate driver’s lounge and a round-the-clock sales support.

Mercedes Benz now has its dealer network across 30 cities and is currently the leading luxury car manufacturer with the widest network. The company grew by 30 percent during 2011.
