Promoting their new brand identity of ‘Best or Nothing’, mb.Inspired for the young generation, Mercedes-Benz has also stepped into aggressive expansion through this initiative. Peter Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “ As India readies itself for globalization, the young India seeks recognition for their talent & uncompromising attitude which have made many stand up & get recognition in their respective fields. mb Inspired is once such platform which shall recognize these individuals & collaborate with them to spread inspiration. This helps us in communicating our brand values of Best or Nothing seamlessly to the Indian consumers.”
With the unveiling of the new M-Class and the SLS AMG Roadster reaching Indian shores soon, Mercedes Benz will expand its array of products and look at a better approach to its consumers. “mb. Inspired is an initiative which synergises the Mercedes Benz ethos across various creative , sporting, business and lifestyle universes. The result is a collaborative perspective that fuels new ways of thinking and spreads inspiration,” said Debasis Mitra, Director, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India. Farhan Akhtar,Chetan Bhagat, Irfan Pathan and Masaba Gupta were also present at the occasion to honour the unveiling of the new range.
The SLS AMG Roadster, powered by a 6.3 litre V8 engine, is the cabriolet version of the existing SLS AMG that comes in with the legendary ‘gull-wing’ doors, much to the anticipation of enthusiasts across the country. The zero to 100 kmph figure comes in 3.9 seconds. The interiors associate that of an aircraft cockpit that include the dashboard in the shape of a wing section and an E-SELECT shaped like a thrust control of an aircraft.
The new M-Class has changed quite a bit. However, its larger size than its predecessor is not evident. With a complete rear make-over, the M-Class now resembles the rest of the Mercedes-Benz family. There is an overall increase in the dimensions of the car, but there is a decrease in the height. A new engine hood and LED daytime running lights give the new M-Class a sportier stance. Customised settings for optimised performance, ABS, ESP, automatic transmission and Electronic Traction Control System also come standard. The nine strategically located airbags ensure an all-round safety as well and addition of a PRE-SAFE technology that helps prevent such instances put an added star to the M-Class. Attention Assist, Parktronic and a new rear view camera also add to the comfort and convenience of the new M-Class.
