The base-spec 7-seater Super remains unaffected

The MG Hector and Hector Plus SUVs have been subjected to multiple updates as well as price hikes this year. Now, Morris Garages has decided to increase the prices of its flagship offering, the Gloster full-size SUV. Here are the revised prices:

The price of the base-spec 7-seater Super remains unchanged, at Rs 29.98 lakh. The price hike ranges from Rs 50,000 to Rs 80,000, with the Top-spec seeing the highest increase. MG hasn’t mentioned any specific reason for this hike, but we suspect it could be due to increased input costs.

 

One of the highlights of MG’s flagship full-size SUV is that it’s the only one in its segment to feature captain seats for middle row occupants. Besides, it gets level 1 autonomous driving tech, including autonomous emergency braking, park assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and forward collision warning. It is a feature-loaded offering with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPay, connected car tech, ambient lighting, a 12-speaker sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a powered driver’s seat with massage function.

 

The Gloster is powered by two diesel engines with a 2.0-litre displacement. The difference being one is a single-turbo mill pushing 163PS and 375Nm to the rear wheels, while the other is a twin-turbo motor delivering  218PS and 470Nm driving all four wheels. Both engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
