  • The Hector 6-seater is expected to be unveiled at Auto Expo 2020.
  • The bench seats in the second row has been replaced by captain seats in the 6-seater version.
  • It is likely to share powertrains with the standard model, albeit with BS6 upgrades.
  • The 6-seater version is expected to command a  premium of  Rs 1 lakh over the standard Hector.

MG Motor India’s next launch is expected to be the luxurious Hector 6-seater midsize SUV. It has been spotted undisguised at MG’s Halol facility and is expected to be unveiled at Auto Expo 2020. It will also come with redesigned elements to differentiate it from the Hector. A report has surfaced online stating that Morris Garages might give the Hector 6-seater a new name for further differentiation. It must be mentioned that Tata Motors has done the same with Gravitas, which is a 7-seater version of the Harrier SUV.

The talking point about the Hector 6-seater is its middle row, which now comes with individual captain seats instead of the bench seat. Further, it’s the first Hector in India to be offered with a third row of seats. However, the presence of the last row could hinder boot space by a significant margin as both models come with an identical wheelbase.

The Hector 6-seater will come with revised styling elements to denote its own exclusivity. Based on spy shots, updates include a revised grille design, revamped headlamps, tail lamps, bumpers, dual-tone alloy wheels, and a sweet looking blue colour option.
