The Hector Plus 7-seater is up to Rs 24,000 more affordable than the 6-seater.
The base-spec Style variant has been retained, however, the 7-seater model can’t be had with the petrol-DCT powertrain.
The hybrid powertrain is also offered with the second-from-base Super variant. This powertrain is offered in the top-spec Sharp variant in the 6-seater model.
Points To Note
the automobile community
Both the SUVs utilise the new 18-inch alloy wheels from the facelifted Hector.
The 7-seater comes with bench seats for middle row occupants, replacing the captain seats in the 6-seater.
It continues to utilise the 170PS 2.0-litre diesel and 143PS 1.5-litre petrol units. Both engines are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, however, the petrol engine can be specced with a DCT.
The petrol-manual powertrain can also be specced with a 48v mild-hybrid system.
The MG Hector Plus will rival the Toyota Innova Crysta as well as the upcoming Tata Safari and 2021 Mahindra XUV500.
