The Hector comes loaded with a host of segment-first features, including connected car technology and a 48V mild hybrid system mated to a petrol engine. The talk of the town - the iSMART connected car features - employs a 10.4-inch vertically stacked Tesla-like touchscreen coupled with various other industry-first features. The Hector will be available in four variants: Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. It’ll be offered with both diesel and petrol engine options. The Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is shared with the Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier, produces 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque and comes paired with a 6-speed manual. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol will be offered with the same 6-speed manual mentioned above as well as a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). This engine makes 143PS and 250Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine can also be had with a first of its kind  48-volt mild-hybrid system that is said to increase fuel efficiency by 12 per cent.
