Most Cringeworthy Scenes From Bollywood That Feature Bikes

Imagine this: you are sitting at home with hours to kill and you decide to scroll through one of the many social media apps on your phone. The next thing you realise is that you have just spent hours watching random videos. Now, this is not an imaginary situation as you may soon have to resort to this as the entire country comes to a standstill due to COVID-19 a.k.a coronavirus. We won’t ramble on about the dire situation that the entire automobile industry is facing. Instead, we will try to lighten up your mood. We went to the deepest corners of the internet to find some really fascinating videos of cars and motorcycles being used in Bollywood in a way that will make you think, “what were they even thinking about?”

Taarzan: The Wonder Car:

Most Cringeworthy Scenes From Bollywood That Feature Bikes

You knew we had to add this movie on this list, right? If you are a millennial, then you’d know it. This movie made DC Design quite popular among the masses. Even if you leave aside the fact that the father in this movie (Ajay Devgn) was a spirit, there are a lot of scenes that’ll make you say, “just what in the hell is going on?!” For instance, the movie’s climax, where Taarzan the car gets totaled, there’s a twist hidden in plain sight (or should we say a spirit). You’ll see car parts and tyres fuse back together to bring it back to life. Yes, we know this doesn’t make sense. The movie doesn’t make sense! But if you stumble upon any videos related to this movie, we are pretty sure you’ll end up watching it and laugh your guts out.

Dhoom 3:

There are some great movies related to motorcycles that you can watch. In fact, we even have a list ready for you. But if you are reading this, you are a Bollywood fan (who isn’t?). Yes, the movies don’t make sense sometimes, but they are entertaining nonetheless. Case in point, Dhoom 3. The Dhoom franchise is one of the most iconic ones to come out of India. Heck, it made the Suzuki Hayabusa so popular that it’s still called the ‘Dhoom Bike.’ But with the third installment, things went a bit overboard, especially the scene where Aamir Khan turns his BMW Motorrad K1300R into a jetski. This is not the first time that we have seen a shape-shifting vehicle, but it could have been a bit more subtle so that the audience would actually buy it.

It’s not just one scene, but the entire movie is cringeworthy! This movie seems like a Fast And Furious rip off with car chases that look like something out of a game on your smartphone. You can watch Drive on Netflix, but we wouldn’t recommend it as we don’t want you to waste 2-odd hours that could be better spent elsewhere. What we can recommend though, is the trailer. It’s just 1 minute and 44 seconds long, but we are pretty sure you’ll skip the trailer as well within the first few seconds. But you’ll at least get a gist of what we are saying.

Any Movie With Ajay Devgn In It:

Who doesn’t like fast-paced, action-packed car/motorcycle chase scenes? But there are instances where Bollywood movies go a bit overboard. Remember the scene in Singham where the Mahindra Scorpio keeps going around in circles? Or the other Ajay Devgn movie - Golmaal: Fun Unlimited - where there’s a scene that shows a car just spinning on just its front tyre? We agree, the movie is damn hilarious and it still is, but we don’t think that scene should have been in there.

Jaani Dushman:

The internet has already been very cruel to this movie; there are several spoofs and reviews out there. So we won’t make fun of the entire movie, but just one scene where a motorcycle appears out of thin air. No, this was unlike a jump cut that you’d typically see in older movies. We know it takes a lot of creative minds to come up with a full feature film. But did no one from the team ever think that you can’t just make a motorcycle out of thin air? Sigh.

Last, but not the least -- Janasheen

You might not know this movie (which is a blessing in disguise), but when it comes to cringe-worthiness, this movie is right at the top of our list. Honestly, even we haven’t seen the movie, but there’s a particular race sequence which we aren’t too sure about. The makers of the movie have used actual footage of a WSBK championship! So the entire 8-minute-long scene is a race highlight with some close-up shots of the actor. If you think we are making this up, then we’ll let YouTube do its job.

These are just a few of the many, many scenes from Bollywood movies that left us facepalming ourselves. Do you have a list of your own? We would love to know which movie made it your list. So get typing in the comments section below.
