The new model family will be available in three versions - the V7 II Stone, V7 II Racer and V7 II Special; although Piaggio has only revealed pictures of the Moto Guzzi V7 II Stone.
Moto Guzzi’s signature longitudinally-mounted V-Twin engine powers the V7 II range of bikes, but the engine has been moved lower in the frame, and also pitched forward by 4 degrees over the previous generation bikes. This is expected to address complaints, especially from taller riders for lack of knee space.
The transmission has been updated as well, with the addition of a sixth gear and a more refined clutch for easier shifts. Other additions include a new dual-channel ABS, traction control and a reduced seat height, to aid short riders as well.
The updated V7 bikes are expected to hit showrooms in Europe by November 2014.
