MV Agusta F4 RC images leaked prior to launch

It has been long speculated that MV Agusta has been working on a special edition motorcycle based on the flagship F4 superbike. Pictures of the upcoming MV Agusta F4 RC have now found its way on the internet from what seems to be a slide from the official press release. The MV Agusta F4 RC will be limited edition motorcycle that will be the new halo product from the legendary Italian bikemaker. From the picture it is clear that the bike will sport a tri-colour paint scheme similar to the Italian flag and will sport a custom made twin-can Termignoni underseat titanium exhaust system to visually differentiate from the standard MV Agusta F4.

Mv Agusta has focused its attention on improving the powerplant of the F4 RC as it features a new cylinder head, crankshaft, camshaft, bigger fuel injectors, lighter pistons, and titanium connecting rods. Lightweight materials like titanium, magnesium and carbon fibre have been used extensively to keep the weight as low as possible. Powering the MV Agusta F4 RC will be a 998cc, in-line-four motor generating 212PS of peak power and 11Nm of maximum torque. This makes the MV Agusta F4 RC the most powerful motorcycle in the company of the Ducati 1199 Panigale R, BMW HP4 and Aprilia RSV4 RF. The bike has a dry weight of 175kg which is 13kg and 6kg higher than the Ducati and BMW motorcycle respectively. Being a special edition motorcycle top-shelf cycle parts is a given as it will be equipped with suspension parts from Ohlins and brakes sourced from Brembo. Like all exotic Italian machinery, the MV Agusta F4 RC will not be cheap by any means as it will carry a sticker price of Rs 26.9 lakh in the European market.
