Bajaj is all set to launch the all-new Discover series, which comprises of the Discover 110 and Discover 125, on January 10, 2018. The Chakan-based manufacturer will also showcase their 2018 range of motorcycles at the event. Hence, we expect to get a glimpse of the refreshed Bajaj Avenger lineup along with the Bajaj Dominar 400 with new paint schemes.
The Bajaj Discover 110, which was spied a week ago, is expected to feature a rebored version of the existing 102cc motor that does duty in the Bajaj Platina Comfortec motorcycle. It is also expected to receive new features such as a digital instrument cluster and LED DRLs. The spy shots of the new 110cc version of the Discover suggest that the motorcycle could borrow the frame, suspension, wheels and bodywork from its elder sibling, the Discover 125. However, the tyres appear to be slimmer in profile when compared to those on the Discover 125. The Discover 110 is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 50,000 (ex-showroom) and will go up against the TVS Victor and the Hero Splendor iSmart 110.
Changes on the Bajaj Discover 125 seem to be minor in nature. While the powertrain and other mechanical bits are expected to be unchanged, we believe the updated motorcycle could receive revised graphics and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Currently, the bike is priced at Rs 53,171 (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated motorcycle could receive a slight hike in prices though.
Along with the Discover series, Bajaj also plans on refreshing some of their models for the upcoming year. According to reports, this may include an updated Bajaj Avenger lineup. The updated Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and Cruise variants are likely to get a digital instrument cluster, LED DRLs, a split-seat, new grab rails, a single-channel ABS unit and a new 'Avenger' insignia. However, changes on the Bajaj Avenger 150 Street may not be so extensive. The Bajaj Dominar 400, on the other hand, could get two new colour options - matte black and red - along with gold-coloured alloy wheels. Stay tuned for more updates as we cover the launch event on January 10.
