Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is scheduled to make a major announcement today possibly about introduction of a new product in India. But, before that, images of an updated version of the hot selling Honda Activa scooter has surfaced online.
Visibly, the new Honda Activa version gets minor design tweaks including a new ‘3G’ branding and new ‘Activa’ badging in 3D style. The new scooter could be named Honda Activa 3G and launched at the event scheduled later today. Other changes include, Activa 125 type headlight and taillamps.
The scooter will continue to be powered by the existing 110cc single-cylinder, air cooled motor producing 8PS and 8.74Nm, and with HET for better fuel-efficiency. Though, not much is known about the mechanical changes as of now, we can expect the new Honda Activa 3G to further improve its existing fuel-efficiency of 60kmpl (claimed ARAI figure).
The current Honda Activa is priced around Rs 52,474 (ex-showroom Mumbai), but the new Activa 3G get a slight increase in price. More details of the new Honda Activa 3G will emerge later in the day, post the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India event.
