Ducati:
Ducati is what for motorcycles, what Ferrari is for cars. The Italian bikemaker has a portfolio consisting of among the most sought after motorcycles in the world and a history that its rivals can only dream of. 2015 wasn’t the first occasion that Ducati entered the Indian market as it had made its official debut few years ago via an official dealer which didn’t perform as expected. After sales service was below average and customers weren’t happy with the provisions provided by the dealer and Ducati had to dissociate it from the dealer. In its second innings, Ducati doesn’t want to repeat its previous mistakes and till the end of 2015 has set up dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. What makes the Ducati motorcycles even more appealing the second time around is the fact that the bikes are coming from Thailand which means they are cheaper than their predecessors which were imported from Italy. The sheer variety of its product portfolio from aggressive naked motorcycles to power cruisers means that buyers don’t have an excuse to not buy a Ducati. Also in the form of the Scrambler the Italian brand has become more affordable for aspiring buyers to fulfil their Italian dream. Also Read: Ducati Diavel Review
MV Agusta:
Italian motorcycles are exotic motorcycles by nature. But one brand takes the exotica level to a whole new zenith and that’s MV Agusta, no wonder then that even the Batman couldn’t resist one of them. Among the last of the premium European bike manufacturers to set shop in India, MV Agusta has entered our shores with the help of Kinetic Motorcycle. The Italian brand has a rich racing heritage and even their road bikes are loaded to the brim with the latest technology to be gained from burning rubber on the race track. The fact that they are so beautifully designed that some examples have been displayed at art galleries makes the MV Agusta brand even more sought-after. Currently the MV Agusta Brutale naked bike and the F4 superbike range have been put on sale in India with the portfolio likely to extend in 2016. New dealerships are under construction with Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore being the finalised destinations. Also Read: MV Agusta Brutale 800 Review
DSK-Benelli:
Benelli isn’t among the most popular motorcycle brands in the two-wheeler space but when you turn the pages of history one finds out that it is the oldest existing Italian two-wheeler manufacturer. The Benelli brand has been brought to the Indian market with the help of DSK-Motowheels. The DSK-Benelli range has been well spread out in terms of products on offer from 250cc single to triple-cylinder powerplant and in-line four mills. The bikes are assembled in India which has allowed DSK-Motowheels to price the Benelli motorcycle range competitively in the Indian market. Also the fact that DSK-Benelli has been aggressive in its efforts to expand dealership network in the country has allowed the bikemaker to garner healthy sales figure. For 2016, DSK-Benelli has lots of new products to make its portfolio even more enticing for buyers and plans to update its entire range with ABS technology.
