Toyota is reincarnating the Supra and thanks to some enthusiastic folks at Toyota Germany, who accidentally leaked the official images of the car, we have the first look ahead of its official reveal at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
Sent by mistake via email to some prospective buyers upon registering by Toyota Germany, the latest images bear an almost perfect resemblance to other alleged leaked images of the fifth-generation of Supra.

We've seen the Supra doused in camouflage earlier but with these images it is amply clear that the fifth gen Supra takes most of its design cues from the FT1 concept, which was showcased almost 5 years ago.
When compared to Toyota's FT-1 concept car, front end styling remains fairly similar to its initial design. It has a flatter nose compared to the pointy and rather futuristic design showcased on the concept.

In terms of other similarities, the new gen Supra gets the double bubble roof, retro looking side mirrors and black A pillar to give the car dual tone look.
At the rear, the 2020 Toyota Supra gets a prominent integrated spoiler lip, with prominent dual exhausts and crisp LED tail lamps, along with an F1-styled fog lamp housing in the bang middle of the rear bumper.

Toyota has confirmed that the 2019 version of the Supra is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six motor which makes 350PS. It shares the same platform as the BMW Z4, but unlike its German counterpart, the Supra might get a manual transmission option as well.
