Triumph Motorcycles India inaugurated new showrooms in the city of Chandigarh and Kolkata, taking the total number of dealerships in India to ten. The British motorcycle maker already had presence in cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai. (Also read: 2015 Triumph 800 XRx and Tiger 800 XCx Review)
Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt Ltd, said, “With the launch of Triumph Motorcycles in Kolkata and Chandigarh, we are committed to setting new benchmarks in providing high quality service experience to our brand enthusiasts and prospects in every part of India. Both Kolkata and Chandigarh are very fascinating markets and will help with the steady growth of the brand here in India. The opening of these two dealerships strengthens our commitment to better establish the brand in the local market. The enthusiasm from brand patrons and fans that we have seen over the last one year is overwhelming to say the least.”
The Kolkata dealership is christened Mukesh Triumph and is located at Matheswartala Road; while Krishna Automobiles is the new dealership in Chandigarh’s Industrial Area.
The other achievement announced by Triumph Motorcycle India is that in just 11 months of operations in the country the company has already clocked 1,000 bookings across 5 model categories.
Sumbly added, “We have successfully sold 1000 motorcycles (Wholesale + Retails) and the number is growing progressively by the day! The ride quality and experience offered by a Triumph Motorcycle suits the individual needs of every biking enthusiast and we are expecting great response from the enthusiasts. We want to offer Triumph lovers not just a product but an overall experience that they deserve from a globally renowned brand like ours.”
The Triumph motorcycles line-up includes the Triumph Bonneville and Bonneville T100, the Triumph Speed Triple, the Triumph Rocket III Roadster, the Triumph Street Triple, the café racer Triumph Thruxton, the Triumph Tiger 800 XC and Tiger Explorer, the Triumph Thunderbird Storm, the Triumph Thunderbird LT and the super sports Triumph Daytona 675 and 675R. These twelves Triumph models are priced between Rs 5.7 lakh to Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
