New Volkswagen Jetta launched at Rs 13.7 lakh

Volkswagen India gave its Jetta a much needed facelift as it launched the new Jetta with cosmetic changes and feature updates. On the external front, the new Jetta sports powerful Xenon headlamps along with washers, LED daytime running lights and new 16-inch alloy wheels. The new Jetta gets updated with features like -zone Climatronic AC, 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 60:40 folding rear seat, front- and rear-mounted proximity sensors, Bluetooth-compatible music system, digital instrument panel with multi-function display (MFD), cruise control and paddle shifters for the DSG gearbox. 

To make the new car far more safer, Volkswagen has equipped it with anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic stabilization program (ESP) and 6 airbags. The new Jetta would be available in both petrol and diesel avatar. The 1.4-litre TSI engine produces 122PS of power and 200Nm of torque while boasting an overall fuel efficiency of 16.69kmpl (ARAI figure). The 2.0-litre TDI mill pumps out an impressive 142PS and 320Nm of torque while returning an overall efficiency of 19.33kmpl for the manual transmission and 16.96kmpl for the optional DSG automatic transmission, both figures are ARAI certified. The new Volkswagen Jetta is on sale at all Volkswagen showrooms across the country priced betweens Rs 13.70 lakh to Rs 19.43 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi.
