Fiat Cronos Revealed

The Fiat Linea was originally launched in 2007 and although there was a refresh made to the car that is available to us in India in 2014, the Linea is pretty much the same as it always was. Of course, the Indian specific car did get a lot of upgrades to the interior front, but the mechanicals have stayed the same as the previous generation model.
Built in India and in Turkey (where the Linea is actually quite a high selling model), the new Linea will aim to further Fiat’s desires to be a serious player in the Indian market. Reports suggest that the next generation Linea though will lose the ‘Linea’ moniker and go with the Bravo sedan name instead. There will also be a station wagon version of the car which will not make its way to India but is slated to do very well in European markets.
The new Linea is said to be a part of the new one Billion Euro investment that the Fiat group has made with its Turkish partner Tofas and will be produced initially in their factory in Bursa, Turkey. Although unconfirmed, there are also chances of this next generation Fiat Linea using the same ‘Small Wide Architecture’ platform that underpins the likes of the Fiat 500X and of course the Jeep Renegade. Expect to see this new Linea make its India debut either late 2016 or early 2017 with both petrol and diesel engines in the mix.
