Following multiple teasers and leaks, Honda is all set to take the wraps off the next-gen Amaze. Ahead of its launch, the subcompact sedan was earlier spotted undisguised, revealing its updated styling and a revamped interior. Unofficial bookings for the Dzire-rival are already underway, and here are top five things you need to know about the new Amaze ahead of its launch tomorrow.
From the leaked images surfaced online, the 2024 Amaze looks unmistakably a Honda, as it borrows much of its design from its larger siblings. The front profile features a thick chrome strip which complements the large hexagonal grille, similar to the Elevate.
While the rear showcases updated LED tail lights reminiscent of the City. It is also expected to retain its sporty silhouette, likely with the addition of a new set of alloy wheels.
Like its exterior, the cabin of the new Amaze will also take styling cues from Honda's other offerings. It will showcase a redesigned interior with an updated dashboard and centre console layout that’s similar to the Elevate.
Other changes include a floating infotainment unit, sleeker AC vents, and a refreshed three-spoke steering wheel. It will however retain its black and beige cabin theme, complemented by silver accents throughout.
The 2024 Amaze is expected to come equipped with features such as a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, a semi-digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, a multi-speaker audio system, a sunroof, and type-C charging ports.
Safety-wise, it is likely to feature ADAS with tech like lane-keep assist, blind spot detection and forward collision warning. The new Amaze is also expected to get six airbags as standard along with ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and reverse parking camera with sensors.
Underneath the hood, the next-gen Amaze is expected to retain its 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, producing 90 PS and 110 Nm. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a CVT-type automatic gearbox.
We expect Honda to price the new Amaze from Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a slight premium over the current model that ranges from Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to lock horns with the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and the recently launched 2024 Maruti Dzire.
