Before you get your hopes up, let us inform you that, the changes to the car can be described as minute at best. There is no change to the exterior of the car. Yes, you read that correctly. The changes include the addition of automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and orange accents to the interior. All of which are available with the top variants only. The orange accents however can be had with no extra charge.

Apart from the aforementioned, the Micra is exactly the same. It still comes with driver side airbag, the infotainment system remains identical as well and so do the powertrains. The petrol variants employ a 1.2-itre four pot engine which is mated to a CVT gearbox and boasts of a fuel efficiency figure of 19.34kmpl. The diesel variants on the other hand employ the tried and tested 1.5-litre dCi engine that comes with a manual gearbox only and boasts of a fuel figure of 23.08kmpl.

Where the competition has moved on, the Micra still remains unchanged. We can only hope that the new one whenever it comes to India is able to strike a chord with the public otherwise it could again be a case of  too little too late.
