Nissan Announces Magnite Prepaid Maintenance And Warranty Plans

Warranty plans start from 2 yrs (50,000km) and can be extended for up to 5 years (100,000 kms)

Nissan’s recently launched Magnite sub-4 metre SUV has been having a decent run of form in the market, with over 15,000 bookings and 1,50,000 enquiries being made over the last 15 days since its launch. There’s also waiting periods lasting upto 8 months. And the carmaker is set to make the Magnite an even more attractive offer with the introduction of a prepaid ‘Nissan Magnite Care’ maintenance plan. 

The plan is offered with a warranty period starting from 2 yrs (50,000km) and can be extended for up to 5 years (100,000 kms). What’s more, you get the option of ‘gold’ and ‘silver’ packages. The former covers comprehensive periodic maintenance services, whereas the latter covers basic maintenance services.  These plans can also be transferable with ownership change. The costs? Well, Nissan claims it to be the lowest in-segment at 29 paise/km (for 50,000 kms).

 

Nissan currently retails the Magnite at prices ranging from Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom), but it is set to get a price hike as these introductory prices are only valid till December 31 2020. It is offered in five trims: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O). Powering the Magnite is two 1.0-litre petrol engines with manual and a CVT transmission option.

As things stand, the Nissan Magnite continues to have a good run and looks to make a strong case in the uber-competitive sub-4 metre SUV segment. It takes on the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Tata Nexon.
