As a part of the tie-up between Nissan and Red Bull Racing, the Japanese car maker will provide the reigning champion F1 team with 10 Evalias for race operations during the 2012 Indian Grand Prix. Keeping in mind the size of the car, it would really come in handy to the Formula 1 team to transport its equipment and staff during the race weekend. This people mover was launched in India in September and this association with the energy drink team is definitely a good way to market Nissan’s newest baby. Also see: Nissan Evalia First Drive
To assist the team further in all its European operations, Nissan has provided the team with a fleet of more than 30 vehicles including its award winning light commercial vehicles like NV200 and new NV400. The Yokohama based car manufacturer also provided the NV200 and Civilian for the Chinese Grand Prix in April, the NV3500 for the Grand Prix du Canada in June, and NV350 in Grand Prix Japan to the Milton Keynes based team.
Christian Horner, Team Principal, Red Bull Racing, commented: “Within such a high- pressure and challenging environment as Formula One, we need reliable partners taking care of all our versatile transportation needs all over the world. Extensive travel is part and parcel of Formula One, and the transportation of our material and staff are an essential part of our successful operations. We are very reassured that the Evalia will be supporting our race operations at this year’s India Grand Prix"
