Was previously slated to be launched in November. Booking for the much awaited supercar killer is already underway
Nissan India has pushed the launch date of the GT-R, popularly known as the Godzilla, to December 2. The supercar was previously slated for a November launch. To be imported as a CBU, it is expected to be launched at a starting price of Rs 1.99 crore (ex-showroom).
To give you a quick recap of the Godzilla, the car is powered by a 3.8-litre twin turbo mill which in its latest iteration develops 565PS of max power and 633Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed, dual clutch transmission that is capable of propelling the ‘Godzilla’ from 0-100 in just 3 seconds. Power is distributed to all four wheels, courtesy Nissan's ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.
For the 2017 edition, Nissan has also updated the design of the GT-R to further improve the aerodynamics of the supercar. It receives a re-sculpted hood, new bumper design, V-motion grille and updated headlamp units. Moving to the back, the supercar continues to sport the signature round tail lamps, while the lower section features a silver-finish diffuser, with air vents on the sides. The interiors are now more luxurious with more comfortable seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and a central console. It also receives a new 8-inch infotainment system that displays coolant temperature, engine oil temperature, engine oil pressure, turbocharger boost pressure apart from the usual audio, calls and navigation.
