Nissan Magnite Sub-4 Metre SUV’s Waiting Period Now Up To 8 Months

• Nissan Magnite is priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 9.59 lakh.
• Prices are introductory and valid for bookings made until December 31.
• It commands a waiting period of up to eight months in Delhi.
• Waiting period for the mid- and top-end variants are comparatively less.
• It’s offered with two petrol engines and an automatic gearbox.

The Nissan Magnite has been off to a great start, racking up more than 5,000 bookings since its December 2 launch. The sub-4 metre SUV has all the right elements to put Nissan back on the radar. Now, we’ve got our hands on the Magnite’s waiting period and we must tell you, it’s going to be a long one. 

Interestingly, the majority of the demand is for the base-spec Magnite XE priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Take a closer look at it by clicking here. 

• Those residing in Chennai and Mumbai will have to wait up to 3.5 months for the base-spec Magnite. The waiting period for this particular variant stretches up to eight months in Delhi!

• In comparison, the mid- and top-end variants command a shorter waiting period. 

• Customers in Bengaluru need to wait up to four months for the base variant and up to three months for the mid- and top-end variants.

• Waiting period for the top-end variant is the least in Delhi, just 45 days. 

•  At three months, Kolkata has the shortest waiting period for the Nissan Magnite. 

The Magnite’s success can be attributed to its disruptive pricing of Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom). While the Magnite directly takes on sub-4m SUVs Tata Nexon and Vitara Brezza, its pricing is similar to premium hatchbacks such as the i20. The Magnite is offered with two 1.0-litre petrol engines: a naturally aspirated unit developing 72PS and 96Nm and a turbocharged unit putting out 100PS and 160Nm (152Nm in CVT). A 5-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard while the turbo-petrol engine can be had with a CVT.
