  • Nissan Magnite test drives to begin from December 2.
  • It will be offered in five variants: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O).
  • The Magnite will come with only petrol engines; no diesel power.

Nissan India is gearing up to launch the Magnite on December 2. Bookings are already underway and select dealerships have already received the sub-4 metre SUV ahead of its launch. We have now learnt that customer test drives for the Magnite will also begin from December 2, the same day as the price reveal.

The Magnite’s prices have been leaked and it could be priced between Rs 5.50 lakh and Rs 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom). If these prices are to be believed, the Magnite will undercut most of its rivals and creates a sub segment of its own. In fact, these prices are right in the ballpark of premium hatchbacks such as the Tata Altroz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The top variants can be opted with a tech pack which adds a wireless phone charger, puddle lamps, ambient lighting, air purifier, and a JBL sound system. We have recently driven the Magnite. You can check out our first impressions by clicking here. The Magnite is an important model as it could turn around Nissan’s fortunes in India. The final nail on the package is when Nissan reveals the prices on December 2. It rivals the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
