Nissan Sunny Prices Slashed

Nissan India has announced that it has slashed the prices of the slow-selling Sunny sedan. Prices of the full-sized sedan now start at Rs 6.99 lakh and go up to Rs 8.99 lakh. The Nissan Sunny was earlier priced between Rs 7.91 lakh to Rs 10.89 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.

The prices of the variants of the Sunny, ex-showroom Delhi, are as follows:

Petrol Variants

XE - Rs 6.99 lakh

XL - Rs 7.59 lakh

XV CVT - Rs 8.99 lakh

Nissan has removed the XV D Safety variant from the Sunny lineup - and has not confirmed if the new XV D replaces it. If it does not, the Sunny now loses out on side airbags and a leather-wrapped gear knob.

The Nissan Sunny continues to be offered with two engine options - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol motor and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor.

The petrol motor paired to a 5-speed manual transmission develops 99PS of maximum power and 134Nm of torque and returns 16.96kmpl. The Sunny petrol is also available with a CVT -- it develops 101PS/134Nm and returns 17.50kmpl. The Sunny diesel develops 86PS/200Nm, is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and has a mileage of 22.71kmpl.
