Marketing gimmick aside, this is just a new limited edition variant of the same old Nissan Terrano

Watch the video above and you may be forced to wonder if the Nissan Terrano has received some much-needed upgrade/update to put it back in contention in the Rs 10 lakh+ compact-SUV/crossover segment. Hold that thought though, because it hasn’t.

The Nissan Terrano Sport is a cosmetically different variant which celebrates the company’s continuing tie-up with the ICC (International Cricket Council), specifically the 2019 Cricket World Cup to be held in England and Wales.

Nissan Terrano Sport Launched

The Nissan Terrano Sport is based on the XL (O) variant which is powered by the 85PS/200Nm version of the 1.5-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder ‘dCi’ diesel engine. It is priced on par with the XL (O) variant, in spite of featuring some cosmetic updates and some new equipment/accessories too, at Rs 12.22 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
