The second generation Maruti Suzuki Swift continues to be one of the company's highest selling cars in the market in spite of it being on sale in the country for almost 6 years now. While part of this is down to an unwavering brand loyalty from customers, the other reason is Maruti constantly updating the car in one way or another.
Now, Maruti has added the Swift to its 'i Create' personalisation program. The 'i Create' platform was launched with the Vitara Brezza in March 2016 and promised a comprehensive but easy way to personalise a car down to the tiniest details. The biggest attraction is the fact that this was a digital platform where customers can virtually modify their cars. The facility is available either at the nearest Maruti showroom or on the dedicated Maruti Genuine Parts website.
Maruti claims that there are 120 accessories to choose from under the 'i Create' platform for the Swift. Customers can choose roof wraps, hood stripes, body kits, garnishes, window visors, body side mouldings, leatherette seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, interior trim, interior highlight, key fob covers, multimedia screens, speakers and subwoofers of their choice. The added advantage, of course, is that these accessories are installed at Maruti Suzuki dealerships by trained technicians and are covered by the company's warranty and guarantee programs.
The Swift is the only hatchback in its segment to be offered with such a customisation program. The 'i Create' platform is targeted at younger buyers who want their cars to look unique; considering Maruti dispatches 15000+ units of the Swift every month on an average, this will surely help those who want to stand out.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift is set to be replaced by an all-new model which is expected to be launched here in 2018. Maruti has already launched the all-new Dzire in India; it's the first time that the compact-sedan has been introduced in the market before the hatchback.
