Malaysia-based lubricant giant Petronas has launched its flagship motorcycle lubricant range in India called the ‘Sprinta’. This new range of lubricants with UltraFlex technology addresses the core requirements of motorcycle riders who want long-lasting engines and better quality rides.
Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Petronas Lubricants International (PIL), Giuseppe D’Arrigo said, “For a majority of bike owners, motorcycle is the primary mode of transport for their daily commutes, usually under heavy traffic conditions. This potentially leads to extensive usage and heavy load on the motorcycle, putting a lot of stress on the engine. That coupled with high temperatures and mechanical wear-and-tear inside the engine often lead to rattling noise and sluggish performance.”
Petronas claims that according to the tests conducted using global industry standards, one of the lubricants, the Petronas Sprinta F900 with UltraFlex, has the ability to provide superior oil film strength that is up to 41% higher than the industry benchmark. This alone helps the engine to endure the effects of varying load, speed and engine stress without breaking down, while allowing the bike to respond better to throttle inputs. The new range of lubricants also offers better deposit control (from fuel combustion), thus maintaining bike power and refinement. The new range of Petronas Sprinta lubricants will be made available globally, in phases, from March 30, 2017.
