Piaggio group has launched its fifth premium retail store in Bengaluru. It is located at Kmj aven, Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru. Motoplex is a multi-brand concept store for Piaggio where all brands under its ownership are sold under the same roof. One can simply walk in and buy a Vespa, Moto Guzzi or an Aprilia. The Motoplex was inaugurated by Diego Graffi, CEO of Piaggio India and Ashish Yakhmi, Head of two-wheelers, Piaggio India.
Commenting on the launch, Diego Graffi, Managing Director and CEO, Piaggio India, said, “The Motoplex is an innovative concept and we are proud to bring our flagship store to Bengaluru. Through the Motoplex, we aim to provide our patrons with an exciting overview of our Italian heritage and diverse product range. With the launch of the new Motoplex, we aim to further strengthen our growth in South India, a strategic two-wheeler market. After Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi, it was a logical move to bring this concept store to Bengaluru.”
This new Motoplex is sprawled across 8,000 sq. ft. The company has so far launched Motoplexes in major cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.
Since arriving in India in 2012, the company has gained a strong foothold in the scooter segment with its Vespa series and the famed Aprilia SR 150. The company also has some premium motorcycles, across segments, on display such as the Aprilia RSV4, Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 and the Moto Guzzi Audace. Another addition to the Motoplex seems to be in the pipeline as we are expecting to see the new Aprilia SR 125 scooter at the upcoming auto expo.
