Two years after its pre-production debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Automobili Pininfarina will debut the first production-spec Battista all-electric hypercar at the Monterey Car Week scheduled for August 12-15, 2021. In fact the Munich-based luxury vehicles company owned by Mahindra has added a few extra touches to the first ever Battista unit.
The first production model being revealed will feature bespoke black carbon fibre bodywork, complemented by gloss black Impulso alloy wheels. The hypercar itself boasts a clean and elegant design thanks to the beautiful Pininfarina design philosophy.
The main talking point of the Battista is of course under the hood. With four electric motors juiced up by a 120kWh battery pack, the electric hypercar delivers a whopping 1900PS and 2300Nm. All this power is sent to all four wheels, helping the Battista do the 0-100kmph sprint in less than 2 seconds, with a top speed of 350kmph. As for range, it is claimed to go up to 500km on a single charge.

Other technical wizardry in the hypercar includes a bonkers aero kit, CCMR carbon-ceramic brakes, torque vectoring, a double-wishbone suspension setup, and bespoke chassis settings. There’s also five driving modes on offer: Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa and Carattere.
Inside, the first Battista unit will get black sustainable leather upholstery, with Iconica Blu contrast stitching and quilted Pilota seats in a Iconica Blu Alcantara finish. Moreover, the seats will also feature Pilota carbon components finished in black. Performance aside, the hypercar will feature creature comforts such as an infotainment system featuring connected technology and over-the-air (OTA) updates . The carmaker is also offering a variety of bespoke customisation options which you can read more about here.
The Pininfarina Battista will be an exclusive offering with only 150 units of the hypercar being made and sold primarily in the US and Europe when it launches in 2022. Out of these production units, five will be allotted to the even more exclusive Battista Anniversario edition to celebrate 90 years of Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina creating the legendary company.
